About Us

GenTech Empowerment, was founded by Cathyerine Bethea and formed on 05/31/2022 as a Non-profit, 501c(3). Cathyerine's journey from a turbulent past to the helm of GenTech Empowerment exemplifies the transformative power of resilience and determination. She intimately understands the struggles faced by at-risk youth. Lacking guidance and support in her own upbringing, she confronted the harsh realities of abuse but refused to be defined by them. Becoming a parent at just 21, Cathyerine made a solemn vow to break the cycle of adversity. Despite daunting odds, she pursued education with unwavering determination;  by obtaining her GED at the age of 20 and later earning both an Associate degree in Cyber Security and a Bachelor’s degree. Remarkably, she achieved these milestones while single-handedly raising five children.

Fueled by an unyielding passion for empowering others, Cathyerine transformed her personal triumphs into a beacon of hope through GenTech Empowerment. Her mission is clear: to save lives, one child at a time. Through the organization, she provides guidance, support, and opportunities for at-risk youth, reshaping their destinies and instilling in them a belief in their own potential. Cathyerine's commitment to service and her profound empathy serves as an inspiration to all. At GenTech Empowerment, she has created a platform for healing, growth, and the realization of dreams—not only for herself and her children but for every young life touched by her unwavering dedication.
